ReplyDeleteI think I would like to make a whole quilt using the Hearth and Home block. The big blocks allow for the fabrics to speak! I love that!
ReplyDeleteI love that I could get a project done before I get tired of making the blocks! :) I tend to get bored making the same block over and over, so since these are bigger blocks, it wouldn't take as many!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Sandy A

ReplyDeleteI have yet to get my hands on a copy but I am excited for a number of projects as I am a beginner quilter. The projects I’ve been seeing on Instagram are so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - this is the book for me! I have lots of fabric and not a lot of time for cutting and sewing. I love the idea that I can actually make a beautiful quilt using big bold blocks. Thanks so much for this book!
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot to love about Quilt Big (and I LOVE the colors you slelected for your threads!!). But I think my lost favorite thing is that it allows me the opportunity to get creative with some of my large and extra large patterned fabrics that I have been stashing away for far too long because I couldn’t bare cutting them up. These larger quilt patterns will finally allow for my beautiful large print fabrics to shine!!
ReplyDeleteI love big blocks I can finish quickly particularly whilst I'm off sick from work and can't cope with fiddly bits.
ReplyDeleteI love that you can make a great looking project in a short amount of time. Great concept for a book!
ReplyDeleteI love big blocks. Less cutting, less sewing, big impact!
ReplyDelete2 things: it shows off medium to big prints without distorting the print and sometimes we just need to make an awesome quilt , like now and be done like now
ReplyDeletesharongalli@gmail.com
The large blocks are a great way to show some feature fabrics that you love.
ReplyDeleteI want to try the home treasure quilt and I will definitely try the string block in a quilt. I have never made a large block quilt. The one I do first will depend on the fabric I find. I can't wait to look at some large print fabrics for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI like the mosaic quilt that Lauren made and showed on her Molly and Mama blog. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

ReplyDeleteI love that the projects sew up quickly and can use larger prints
ReplyDeleteI have some wonderful Paris fabric for a special project. Your patterns are perfect to showcase it. Looking forward to the book!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making "bigger blocks for faster finishes"! Any of the quilts in the book would be a great accomplishment if indeed it does lead to a finished quilt in less time! Thank you, Susan
ReplyDeleteI love the big blocks for a couple of reasons...first, I will finish the quilt more quickly so I can get to the quilting part (my favorite part) and second, there is a lovely amount of space for modern quilting!! I can also use some of my hoarded fabric because the larger pieces will show off the fabric so well!
ReplyDeleteFast and easy sounds good to me. Also bigger blocks means fabric with larger prints can be used.
ReplyDeleteQuilting Big is great for when you need a handmade quilt to snuggle under and want to get it done fairly quickly. Plus, big blocks can showcase some larger motifs from the fabric instead of cutting it down. Thank you, peterstankovich@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteI like the Big Blocks 'cause it means that I might actually get a quilt finished quickly!! And they're always good for larger prints. Thanks so much for the chance to win :)

ReplyDeleteI'm such a lover of big blocks! I'm always looking for ways to speed up quilt making, and big blocks is a fantastic way to do that!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about Quilt Big is the variety of designs to show off my large-patterned fabrics. Often, the beauty of those fabrics is lost when cut into smaller pieces. Big blocks are much easier to stitch and move so quickly...just perfect for me! duchick at gmail dot com

ReplyDeleteBig print fabrics that you don't want to cut too small will be great for this
ReplyDeleteYour thread colors are so bright and clear-so springy! Loved your book as soon as I saw it and it just came this week. I have a layer recently purchased at a quilt show-so I will start with The Half Square Triangles Quilt and then definitely Churn Dash. So much inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAlways looking for something new to teach and this would fit the bill. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI like be big block quilt books - I look forward to seeing this one! You finish a quilt quickly, lots of negative space to highlight some beautiful machine quilting as well as a few spectacular fabrics many of which we have today. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed by Peta Peace's log cabin quilt. I want to start with that one but I am sure I will end up making them all.
ReplyDeleteI am super excited to make a quilt with larger pieces, this would be a new endeavor for me, but I know I'll be hooked once I start. The Quilt Big creations that I have seen on social media so far have been astounding!
ReplyDeleteI like that just a few larger blocks with larger pieces allows me to have a wall hanging or a quilt!! I also like the fact that I can finish it up quickly (and as I age, that is becoming much more important!).
ReplyDeleteI have a few beautiful pieces of fabric that are large scale prints. A quilt composed of bigger pieces would be a perfect way to highlight these great prints. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteQuilts with a million little pieces are beautiful, but not something I'm interested in taking the time to make. Quilt Big patterns are definitely more my style.
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is in March and your book is on my wish list! I especially like the large churn dash block I've seen in some of the pictures.
ReplyDeletetstanulis@verizon.net
