An Alice Caroline Liberty Exclusives Confetti Quilt

These absolutely STUNNING Liberty Fabrics arrived recently thanks to Alice Caroline Fabrics.  They are the latest in their Exclusives Collection and it's true to say that my heart skipped quite a few beats when I opened these beauties.

Alice Caroline, in this latest collection have taken some of these sentimental Liberty favourites and re-coloured them to work so beautifully as one collection showcasing all the colours of the rainbow.

While I could never pick a favourite - an absolute stand out is the Pink Gold Besty with its touches of metallic gold in the flowers - just the icing on the cake.  The Mint Capel would have to be another one I am really in love with.

It actually took me a little while to decide what I was going to make with these Liberty fabrics.  I wanted to showcase the rainbow effect of these fabrics as well as making something that let the prints shine.  I eventually decided to make my Confetti Quilt pattern using this Tana Lawn Nude as the background.  It is the most elegant shade of slight pink that lets the prints stand out.

As I was busy making this Confetti Quilt - my 14year old daughter quickly claimed this one telling me how perfect it would go with her room.  I used each of the prints from the collection to make this and also added two prints from the previous Exclusives collection to make up the required number of prints for the blocks.

With these rainbow colours, I love how well the prints play together and how even the darker prints compliment the pastel coloured prints in these florals.

Whether you are a die hard Liberty lover or new to these, these Exclusives are a must for your stash!

This Liberty Confetti Quilt is now happily on my daughters bed - being already loved and snuggled under.

A Pocket Full of Memories - sweet Liberty fabrics

My love for Liberty fabric runs deep - that no secret, so when this new Children's Collection was released from Alice Caroline, I began dreaming of what I might make with it.  "A Pocket Full of Memories" SS18 is the latest collection designed for all those kids projects you have been wanting to make and is now available.

There are beautiful bright and bold colours in this collection alongside the sweeter of pastels which just seem to work as Liberty does so well together.  The florals are stunning blooms and the whimsical characters such as butterflies, Hot Air Balloons, Stars, Birds and so many more - just ever so delightful.

After spending some time deliberating what I would love to make with them and which I would use together, I decided to make my Junction Road pattern.  I have a special friends little one, birthday to make a sweet gift for.

The Tana Lawn has such a soft drape so it is perfect for small children items as the feel is just ever so soft.

Combining big bold prints and small dainty florals work really well in this design.  With the Interwoven feature corner design giving this quilt a real punch.

Because the Liberty is so soft I wanted the machine quilting to not be to heavy.  I chose to quilt simple lines across the diagonal so as to not take away from the beautiful prints and let them shine through.

And because I couldn't resist making up some of these sweet Hair Ties and Scrunchies with these stunning Liberty fabrics.  Whilst it may be put together as a "Children's Collection" - I certainly think that there are many print that will delight the adults just the same.  My favourite print is "Magical Bouquet".

For those Liberty fans or even if you are new to Liberty fabrics - these the won't disappoint.

Love Letters Quilt - Made with Alice Caroline Exclusive Liberty

I am a B-I-G Liberty fan - that is no secret!  So when Alice Caroline put out an Exclusive Collection - this was just a natural addition to my collection and resistance - futile.

Alice Caroline has the most beautiful stocked stop with Liberty fabrics that just sing.  I was so excited when this curated Collection by Alice was introduced as so many of my favourite prints were re-coloured and given that Alice Caroline magical touch.

I knew immediately that I was going to re-make my Love Letters Quilt and feature that amazing Margaret Annie X - Turquoise and Pink for the main heart and border for this quilt.

Who can resist a "snippy corner".  I just love the colours in the prints and who well they all play together.  These Classics prints in new colour ways - and that Mint Betsy - just exquisite.

For the Background White fabric I also used Liberty Tana Lawn and it really helps the project all tie in with such a draped feel to the quilt.  This quilt was just perfect to showcase these florals and how sweet they all work in together.
