Diary of a Custom Order Quilt

I was recently contacted by Kid Independent to create a custom quilt to celebrate a new arrival.  Indi wanted the quilt to be gender neutral and had an idea of the colours she liked and the pattern she was after.  As soon as she described this I new the exact fabric to fit this custom order.  This is "True Colors" by Anna Maria Horner.

Of course there needed to be some solids to co-ordinate.  We decided on the pattern Rainbow Fizz, so I set about cutting and stitching up lots of Half Square Triangle units.

Arranging and re-arranging till I was happy with the colour placement and then a little sewing later and ...............

A finished quilt top all ready for pinning and quilting.
