Confetti Quilt Sew Along - Week 3

It's Week 3 of the Confetti Quilt Sew Along - we are at the halfway mark and it is very exciting to see lots of Quilts starting to come together and all these beautiful fabric choices becoming gorgeous Confetti Quilt tops.

This week we are working on sewing up Rows 5-8.

I know that with this pattern there are the scraps that are leftover from trimming.  The reason behind the scraps is because this pattern gives you the wriggle room in allowing you to trim your blocks and without the need for the points to match when you are sewing the blocks.  This was designed this way with beginner quilters in mind and there are lots of great things you can do with your scraps.

There are so many projects you can make with your leftover scraps. Here are 4 fabulous ideas for them.

This Postage Stamp Quilt Tutorial by Rita of Red Pepper Quilts is a great Example.

Or how about these adorable Cosy Cat Coaster Mug Rug's by Lisa of A Spoonful of Sugar

This super popular When Life Gives you Scraps Mini Quilt Pattern of mine is perfect for your leftover pieces.

This is my Vintage Cotton Reel Mini Quilt - perfect for small scrap pieces.

Thanks to Scribbly Gum Quilt Co, for one winner Jodie is giving away a years  quarterly Rotary Blade Subscription (if the winner is outside Australia the prize will be sent in one package - not quarterly).

From Doohickey Designs for one winner each week, $20 to store that they can purchase med binding babies, large binding babies, limited editions, or flower spindle.

So to be eligible for this weeks prizes - make sure to post your pics of your blocks  to date or rows up to Row 8 on Instagram to - #confettiquiltsewalong#confettiquilt and #tiedwitharibbonpatterns

NOTE - make sure you are using #confettiquiltsewalong (#confettiquiltalong is being used by another)

I hope you are enjoying making your Confetti Quilt.

Happy Quilting
